In Wasserschloss Kottingbrunn, 30 km south of Vienna Friends Forever has now finished its first Austrian exhibition in a cooperation between the municipality of Kottingbrunn, Humana Austria and Friends Forever. Under the Title "Lebende Steine" - Living Stones, the castle, which is also the home of the municipalty and the mayor's office, formed the beautiful frame work for an exhibition of app. 230 sculptures, of which 120 were sold at the exhibition. On the 18th of May The New Hilton Hotel of Vienna will in cooperation with Humana Austria invite distinguished guests to visit a part of the exhibtion, which is on display and for sale at the hotel. Also there will be smaller exhibitions in two other locations around Vienna. In June the whole exhibition opens in the Orangerie at Klosterneuburg, where it will stay from the 2nd of June until the 10th. |
On the 18th of April, 2005 the newest exhibition opened in Fortaleza Maputo, an ancient fortress with very beautiful surroundings and exhibition rooms. It was attended by 5 artists from Zimbabwe and 400 people and the opening speech was given by the Minister of Education and Culture in Mozambique. |
On the 12th of July 2005 we celebrated the first opening of a Friends Forever exhibition in Holland - in Zutphen, where the partners arranging the exhibition are: Humana Holland, the municipality of Zutphen, and Friends Forever. Here 75 sculptures are to enjoy. The full exhibition consists of in total 250 unique pieces of art - specially produced by the Friends Forever Artists for this summer in Holland - the best from them! Sales exhibitions are following each other like this from now: 19th July opening in Hellevoetsluis, Town Hall. 19th July opening in the "Nationaal Brandweermuseum" Hellevoetsluis. 25th July opening in Groesbek, Town Hall. From the 17th of July ZOO Amersfoort will be the host of a big selection from the sales exhibition - highlights and major pieces. Here the official opening will be a special event on the 31st of July. All the exhibitions will run through July and August - and Nationaal Brandweermuseum and Dierenpark Amersfoort will have the exhibition until 30th of September. The exhibition will be in Schloss Zeist from 31st of August through 15th of October. During this period, the artist Colleen Madamombe will visit the exhibtion and give a workshop. 20th of July, 17.30pm: Burg Liechtenstein in Maria Enzersdorf near Vienna – this cultural pearl in Europe – builds the splendid frame for the opening of the 4th Friends Forever Sales Exhibition in Austria. It is organised in partnership with Humana People to People in Austria and together with the Mayor of Maria Enzersdorf and the Management of Burg Lichtenstein. 6 masterpieces – made by the Zimbabwean Master Sculptors in Friends Forever – entered on 13th July Zoo Amersfoort, Holland – and got a prominent place just in front of the elephant area. More sculptures are following the coming two weeks – building up to a great sales exhibition this summer in this beautiful and lively park. In Zoo Amersfoort you will also be advised where else to go to enjoy – and eventually buy - the extraordinary selection of 250 Master Sculptures this summer in Holland. On 31st of July 2005 was the official opening of the exhibition at "Dierenpark" Amersfoort, by its enthusiastic manager, Marjo Hoedemaker, who after his own speech and speeches by Sune Joergensen, curator of Friends Forever and by Frans van Wersch, lawyer and member of the Board of Stichting Humana, Holland, lead the guests on a nice tour of his park, presenting all the sculptures, beautifully placed in between the public and the animals. |
On the 18th of November 2005 the mayor of Aiguafreda officially opened the first exhibition of five in this the second series in Spain. The other four exhibition places are Les Franqueses, Tona, La Garriga, and Granollers. The last one will run until the 4th of February 2006. The opening was very well visited and the sales began on a high note! All the mayors, Humana Spain and Friends Forever were together at the press conference on the 8th of November in Granollers. And this was a very crowded affair - as the FC Barcelona footballer, Samuel Eto'o, who is from Cameroun himself, attended in support of both Humana and the exhibitions. In June 2006 the next series of exhibitions in Spain will begin with being part of the 1100 year celebrations of L'Amettla, and going on to the Cultural Town of Catalunya 2006 Amposta. |
